Five Rules for a More Creative (and Peaceful) Life

You know the saying, "when Mama's happy, everyone's happy"? Well, it's true. When I'm feeling peaceful and creative, my family and home life are just better. Here are my five rules for creating more peace and creativity in your life.

1. Don't compare yourself to others - everyone has their own unique style
2. Don't over-schedule yourself - make time for consistent, creative time (even 15 minutes)
3. Simplify your life - get rid of excess possessions and commitments
4. Follow your passions - paint or sketch what you love, forget the so-called art rules
5. Be kind to yourself - accept your mistakes and just keep creating

It's all about creating the mental space for me to have a peaceful attitude.

It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and fill up your schedule with work, errands, and social obligations. However, it's important to make time for downtime and relaxation, too. without margins in our lives, we can quickly become overwhelmed and stressed. That's why it's important to set aside time each day - even if it's just 15 or 20 minutes - to do something creative that you enjoy. It could be painting, sketching, reading, listening to music, or taking a walk outdoors. Just make sure to choose an activity that helps you unwind and relax. By making time for ourselves, we can recharge our batteries and be ready to face whatever life throws our way.
