Spring Gala: Mystery of the Archives

The Friends of the Louisiana State Archives is a non-profit support group with a mission to support the Louisiana State Archives through research, outreach, and conservation.

On March 6, 2022, the Friends of the Louisiana State Archives held a Sunday afternoon of amazing live musical entertainment by The Michael Foster Project, a Mardi Gras exhibit, Caricatures by Steve Shamburger, and on-site live painting by yours truly.

The theme was Mardi Gras so I used vibrant colors and featured the show-stopping Mardi Gras Indians.  I wanted to capture the essence of Mardi Gras and the spirit of New Orleans. I'm very excited to see my art on display at the State Archives building on permanent display. Proceeds from the sale of prints will help support the work of the friends of the archives.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
